Non Owners Car Insurance Corpus Christi

I’m planning to sell my car next month. But when I asked my car insurer on how to cancel my insurance, an agent advised me to get a non owners auto insurance instead of totally canceling. Well, I’m not sure when will I buy a new car, so it might be a waste of money to get an insurance without a car. What do you think? I live in Corpus Christi Texas.

I understand if at first you may think it’s just a kind of up-sell or some customer retention spiel. In my opinion though, it can be a valid concern. You see, a non owners auto car insurance is simply car insurance for a driver who doesn’t own a vehicle. Because the policy covers the driver, it applies to any vehicle you will be driving. It may sound strange, but actually a good idea to purchase non owners auto car insurance even if you still don’t own a car in Corpus Christi Texas. Who knows? You may perhaps borrow a car from a friend, relative, family member or even travel and rents a car. In case there’s an accident and you don’t have insurance, it’s going to be covered as a lending loss. But of course, your relationship with the car owner will be affected if you cause their premiums to increase and be liable for huge sums in damages. Well of course, you can’t take chances.

Having a non owners auto insurance policy can protect and save you from significant money and problems against these situations. It will also keep a borrower from having to ask about insurance details up front. The penalties and liabilities for being an uninsured driver can be quite extensive; so don’t take the risk. Getting a non owners auto insurance in Corpus Christi will also help you find a good deal for regular car insurance once you have a new car again since rates will go up if you’ve been un-insured for a time.

SR22 Insurance Corpus Christi Texas

I am required to get an SR22 car insurance and I would like to know if it is better to get it from my current auto insurance provider or get if from a different insurer?

Fred

Corpus Christi, TX

Nice Question,

If your current insurance provider do fillings for the SR-22 car insurance, after being sure that you have at least the minimum liability limits that your state is requiring of you, the it would be much easier if you get it from your car insurance provider that you currently have.

If however your current insurance company will not file the SR-22 car insurance for you then you will need to find a different car insurance provider that does file SR22 car insurance will send in the SR22 certificate to the proper state agency on your behalf.

Current insurance carrier does not file SR-22 car insurance forms for policyholders you will need to cancel your car insurance policy with them. If they do not deal with SR22s then you will need to get insurance with an insurer that does SR22 filing and then terminate your current insurance once your new car insurance is in effect.Be sure to get the new policy before canceling the old one so you will not have a lapse on your auto insurance coverage
